A. General Syria News
The foreign ministry of the Assad regime issued a statement to express the regime’s rejection for the decision of Switzerland to allow the Kurdish Self Administration in northern and northeast Syria to open a representative office in Geneva. The statement said the step is against international law, accusing the Kurdish self-autonomy as an illegitimate body that caries weapons against of the Syrian state.
B. Regime-held Territory
Dara: One man was killed and another was wounded in a regime shelling of Dara Al Balad on Monday night. The shelling targeted the area near the Omari mosque and left damage in private property.
C. HTS-held Northwest Syria (Idlib, Western Hama, Northern Latakia, western Aleppo)
Idlib: An explosion hit an arms depot for HTS near the village of Hazzano in the north of Idlib. As the depot is located in a training camp for the group, about 10 HTS elements were killed and 15 were wounded.
On the other hand, Russian warplanes bombed the village of Kafarmid in the west of Idlib. There were no reports of casualties.
D. Turkish Influence Territory (Afrin, Azaz, Al Bab, Jarablus, Tal Abyad, Ras Al Ayn)
Azaz: Local authorities arrested two men who were involved in the car bomb explosion that hit the city yesterday. The perpetrators were recognized through surveillance cameras and were arrested in a village near Azaz.
E. SDF-held Northeast Syria (Most of Raqqa and Hasaka, part of Deir Ezzor, parts of Aleppo: Manbij, Ayn Al Arab\Kobani, Tal Rifa’at.)
Hasaka: Men wearing the SDF police “Asayish” uniforms kidnapped two orphan sisters who are 4 and 3 years old from the Al Hol IDP camp in Hasaka. SDF issued a statement saying the perpetrators were criminals and that the Asayish were not responsible for the incident.
On the other hand, the Turkish army and the Turkey-supported SNA fired heavy artillery on the towns of Abu Rasayn Tal Tamr in the west of Hasaka. The shelling was described as violent and locals were seen leaving their villages.
